Scripps grows Liberty pact

Scripps Networks UK and EMEA has extended its carriage deal with cable operator Liberty Global, ensuring its channels’ distribution across European markets.

Liberty will continue to carry Travel Channel, Food Network and Fine Living in all existing territories and also now has the option to extend the roll-out of both Food Network and Fine Living into new countries.

Scripps has also agreed to allow Liberty to deliver its content on multiple platforms including cable, catch-up, subscription VoD and mobile.

Liberty distributes via cable throughout Europe, in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Switzerland and the UK, as well DTH services in five Central and Eastern European countries.
