The Television Syndication Company (TVS)

Formed in 1989, The Television Syndication Company, Inc. (TVS) is a full-service syndication and distribution organization, providing high quality programming from the world’s most creative producers to television, new media, in-flight and educational outlets worldwide. The company’s services include barter syndication in the USA along with cash licensing domestically and internationally.

TVS specializes primarily in factual programs such as lifestyle, documentaries, educational, children’s, current affairs and sports. Prior to the pandemic, TVS attended the main TV markets, including NATPE, MIPTV, MIPCOM and the APEX Multimedia Market for in-flight entertainment. The company’s associate offices attended other markets including the Asia Television Forum.

The company has eight series playing weekly in syndication in the USA including the new weekly current events series Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren, E/I series Sports Stars of Tomorrow and Elizabeth Stanton’s Great Big World; lifestyle series Small Town Big Deal, Ron Hazelton’s Housecalls, Street Magic, Laura McKenzie Traveler and sports series, RaceWeek. Additionally, TVS syndicates several specials throughout the year including Small Town Big Deal Christmas Across America, Everyday Heroes and Pets Welcome Here. Prior to forming TVS, Bob Yde was instrumental in producing nationally televised specials. Cassie Yde joined Mr. Yde in 1969 and the partnership resulted in the creation of additional television programming for the major U.S. television networks and such international networks as CBC and CTV in Canada, the BBC in the United Kingdom and the SABC in South Africa. The Ydes also traveled to virtually every corner of the world to produce television series and specials for worldwide distribution. The couple then started The Television Syndication Company to represent independent producers programming on a worldwide basis. Mr. Yde passed away on December 18, 2006. His career as an experienced television producer, director and writer earned him much respect in the industry.
