Sergey is a Deputy Minister of education, a leader by vocation and a teacher by education. He is used to teaching all his life: at work — subordinates, in relationships - his mistress-kept woman, and in life-two adult daughters, whom he takes care of alone after the death of his wife. His youngest daughter, Maria, works at a regular Moscow school. The teacher's salary is not enough, and she is forced to work part-time. Maria can easily take advantage of her father's position, but she prefers independence. Men like her, but pride and excessive demands on people prevent her from being happy. Maria takes the problems of her students to heart and tries to solve them using non-standard pedagogical techniques.

His eldest daughter Tanya is the head of the Department at a prestigious University. She has a husband, a 4-year-old son, but she prefers to spend time not at home, but in Nightclubs and at random meetings. Tatiana is aware of her high position and, under the guise of impunity, behaves with people unceremoniously and impudently. She loves her younger sister, but at the same time frankly does not understand why Maria does not use the opportunities of her father
