Evgeniy Morozov has devoted his whole life to making documentaries. He has had great success professionally speaking, but his films have never brought him any fame. Evgeniy decides to make a documentary that will go viral on the Internet, and creates a team to include: Daria, a screenwriter, and Egor, a cameraman. All that is left to decide is his subject matter, and even though he decides to investigate the supernatural, this documentary filmmaker has no idea what he has gotten everyone into. This is an experimental format. The first seven episodes of The Documentary Maker show the Egor working on the biggest film of his life, while the eighth and final episode is the material he has shot and edited; something that brings about an unexpected conclusion to this otherworldly story.
