The Impostor is the story of Philip, an ex-convict who’s struggling to get a handle on his life when a gruesome chance occurrence turns his destiny upside down. Philip becomes an impostor. Henceforth he will lead two lives: that of the ex-drug trafficker he actually is, and that of a prosperous man who enjoys startling professional success, but who also has some unexpected, and very dangerous, secrets. Philip must walk a tightrope between two worlds. The slightest false step could bring everything crashing down. Unfolding with suspense and humanity, The Impostor always takes us where we least expect to go.

Having served seven years for drug trafficking, Philip, aged 37, is now a free man, and he’s determined to get his life back on track.

But three months after his release, despite the best of intentions, Philip must face the fact that his reinsertion into society is verging on fiasco. Old and very scary acquaintances haven’t forgotten that he owes them thousands of dollars; employers don’t want to hire a man with a criminal record; and his family is seriously hesitant about trusting him again.

At the very moment when he loses hope in a better future, a dreadful coincidence will completely alter the course of his life. In utter despair, he decides to throw himself off a bridge. But his survival instinct gets the better of him, and he swims to safety. Reaching the shore, he comes across the corpse of a man who is his exact double. Shaken, he undertakes to learn who the man is by stepping into his life.

Philip becomes an impostor.

The Impostor is a series about changing identities. You may think you’re following the right path, leading the right life, but even so, anything can happen. Secrets can emerge. Especially when the man whose identity you assume turns out to be your own twin brother. And he was working as a double agent.
