At the height of the immigration influx into Europe in 2014 and 2015, Sweden accepted by far the highest per capita rate of asylum seekers in the EU. Since then, violent and sexual crime rates have soared, and increasing proportions of the population want answers.

The Swedish police have outlined over 50 areas with high immigrant populations that are “marred by crime, social unrest and insecurity.” Of these, 23 are classified as “especially vulnerable”, with the police struggling to operate their, and migration critics writing them off as “no-go zones”.

Amidst a famously liberal society an insidious hatred is growing, with residents blaming growing gang violence and drug trafficking on immigrants they accuse of colonising the country. Many Swedes, and even older immigrants, have begun to say that Sweden no longer feels like Sweden, and claim the liberal policies of the government and the political correctness of the press have gone too far.

So now, fed up with the perceived inaction of the authorities, some have taken matters into their own hands. Militant groups, calling themselves names like ‘The Soldiers of Odin’, are emerging to patrol the country’s most blighted neighbourhoods.

Vigilantes and racists, or protectors of Swedish patrimony? This controversial documentary invites us uncover our own perspective.
