An ex-cop, blinded by an explosion, seeks justice by any means necessary.

A bomb blast took ex-cop Alexander Haller’s eyesight, but the criminal underworld shouldn’t underestimate him. His instincts are as sharp as ever, and he never stops until he gets justice – even if that means sometimes behaving a little unconventionally.

The Blind Detective 1: The blast that destroyed Chief Inspector Alex Haller’s sight also killed the woman he loved. Now retired, Haller lives with the burden of knowing the bomb was meant for him. But when the man convicted of the attack escapes prison to prove his innocence, Haller must investigate all over again. But now, he has no authority, no sight and the new Chief Inspector trying to stop him.

The Blind Detective 2: Haller’s sister Sophie is abducted; no one knows who’s responsible or why she was targeted. The only thing Haller knows is that the gang are professional – and ruthless! He must hunt down the criminals with only Niko to help – neither realize the crime's link to the Haller family fortune.

The Blind Detective 3: The principal of an elite boarding school is found burnt to death in his private quarters. Haller must go undercover as a teacher to find the killer, and dig up the school’s darkest secrets.

The Blind Detective 4: When a prosecutor is murdered – with the date of the explosion that blinded Haller found next to the corpse – Haller must revisit his old cases. One stands out, but the more Haller examines the evidence, the more convinced he is they got the wrong man. Haller must race against time to stop the killer and put right a longstanding miscarriage of justice.

The Blind Detective 5: At the opening of an art exhibition, a private banker is poisoned. On the hunt for the killer, Haller uncovers the banker and his high society wife's disturbing secrets. His investigation brings him to Koberer Inn, a haunt of the coachmen of horse-drawn carriages. It’s up to Haller to discover how these very different worlds collided with such deadly results!

The Blind Detective 6: A businessman falls to his death from his office balcony. Soon after his wife is found dead alongside a letter confessing to the murder, having apparently poisoned herself. An open and shut case… But Haller soon discovers the supposed murderess had an intense fear of heights and the victim had many enemies in Vienna’s coffeehouses... as a blackmailer.

The Blind Detective 7: While investigating the murder of a photographic agency boss, Alex and Niko discover a mysterious photograph of the dead, tattooed Empress Sissi. They also meet a cast of strange characters, including the man bequeathed the photograph, along with a warning that anyone who sees it will die. Soon, he too is found dead.

Blind Detective 8: Alex Haller is asked for help by a childhood friend whose diabetic nephew has been kidnapped. Inconsistencies in the case lead Alex to suspect that his mother Sonja kidnapped her own son. But before he can confront her, Sonja's body is discovered...

Blind Detective 9: Alex and Nico investigate the double shooting of a former insurance broker turned modern day nomad, and jogging music director – found 200m apart on the banks of the Danube. Seemingly, nothing connects the pair but when a deaf-mute girl signals otherwise, Alex and Niko are sent in an entirely different direction.
