Campaign Profile

Empowering storytellers with IMG’s archive

Bill Hawes, Senior Director for Archive at IMG, a global sports, events and representation company, talks about how storytelling in sport is changing, and the power of archive in crafting authentic narratives that captivate fans.

What do IMG’s archive team offer?

IMG has represented athletes and federations for over 60 years, so sport is deeply rooted in our DNA. We launched our archive team over 30 years ago, with the goal of becoming the ultimate home of sports archives globally and the go-to team for any archive projects.

We now represent over 35 of the world’s leading rightsholders including the Premier League, International Olympic Committee, Wimbledon, World Rugby and Roland-Garros – a number which is growing. Rightsholders trust us to digitise and license their archive globally – we’re fundamentally the gatekeepers to their past.
