Aster Calyx (Lena Headey) and Halan Kai Nelson (Stephan James) are inextricably drawn to Beacon 23. Navigating one threat after another, they unravel the beacon’s mysteries, just in time to face their most powerful enemy.
As humanity ventured into the farthest reaches of the Milky Way, they built beacons - essentially lighthouses in space - to guide their way. The beacons might be in the middle of nowhere, but they are on the highway to everything. Without them, travel across the unfathomable distances of deep space would be impossible.
Beacons are run by one highly trained human, and a specialized Artificial Intelligence.
Beacon 23 follows Aster (Lena Headey) a government space agent and Halan (Stephan James) a stoic ex-military man, whose fates become entangled after they find themselves trapped together at the end of the known universe. Aster mysteriously finds her way to the lonely beacon keeper Halan, on his lighthouse in the darkest recesses of space. A tense battle of wills unfolds as Halan, begins to question whether Aster is friend or foe as her ability to disguise her agenda and motives could make her a formidable opponent.
