In season one, his much longed for tranquility is shattered when a family member is brutally murdered – his past has caught up with him and this shocking act of violence unleashes dark and dangerous secrets. Jim is not the man we think he is but is in fact Jack – the professional name for his alcoholic alter ego – a man more unpredictable, more charismatic and infinitely more menacing than we could possibly imagine. A lethal chain of events ensues and season one ends with a shocking finale no one would have expected. In season three, thousands of miles away from the Rocky vista of Canadian town, Little Big Bear, Jack, Angela and Anna return to Liverpool twenty years after leaving to confront the sinister truth they ran from.
