Thomas Letellier, owner of the largest canning factory in Dunkirk, is found dead in his car. A shot of potassium chloride in the back of the neck.

Detective Louise Poquelin is a single mother, who works tirelessly to balance her all important career and busy family life. When she is entrusted with a murder investigation in Dunkirk, Poquelin must team up with a new partner, Detective Etienne De Beaumont, a well-to-do cop with aristocratic origins. Poquelin and De Beaumont have completely different personalities and clash in both a cultural and social sense. However their obvious differences become a major asset in the field as they delve deep into the complexity of the investigation.

In the second film, Louise and Etienne are sent to a boarding school after the suicide of one of its French teachers. But evidence left at the scene is disturbing. Though the victim left a letter, medical expert Timothée believes it could potentially be a case of murder.
