I Would Like To Be Erased (Je voudrais qu'on m'efface)

Babel Films
8 x 15 minutes

Montreal. A popular neighborhood. An apartment building.

Three flayed childhoods collide. Mélissa (14), Eddy (12) and Karine (13) live in the same block. From an early age, they have to deal with an environment that already eats adults alive. Whores' corner, wrestling matches, the difficult neighbourhood, parents' debauchery evenings, bad company, dressing in thrift stores, discount shopping; for them, all this is normal. This is the environment in which they grow up.

Are their parents to blame? Or do they love as much as they can? Are we all condemned to reproduce what we have known? Can they dream for a moment of a little better?

Adapted from the novel written by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, Je voudrais qu'on m'on a m'efface is a choral web series (8 x 15 minutes) where each episode deals with the point of view of a child, his parent and the incredible daily life they face.
