From the cultivation of the biggest European primeval forest in the Rumanian Carpathian Mountains, to a wandering shepherd in the mountains of Northern Spain, a surfing school at a former industrial site and the establishment of a community on a formerly isolated island- all over Europe people are giving areas a new purpose. The documentary series is an expedition to these special regions. We explore unique landscapes and tell stories of people who repurposed and relaunched these forgotten territories into modern society.
