When they learn of their father’s death in questionable circumstances, sisters Marianne and Christine Cyr put their conflict aside to perform their family duty, but mostly to escape their personal problems. They head off on a winter road trip to spread their father’s ashes on the Magdalen Islands, the land of his birth. On the way, Marianne and Christine discover that their absentee father has left them both with emotional baggage, and loads of trouble!
