Founded by producer André Dupuy, Amalga is dedicated to content development and production for film, television and digital media. Focused on creators, Amalga respects and encourages their creative vision, while insisting on quality.
In only a few years of operation, the company has earned itself an enviable position in the Quebec media landscape with dramatic series such as Fragile author Serge Boucher’s most recent series that has earned rave reviews and 13 Gémeaux 2020 nominations; La Règle de (3) a unique web series, winner of two Gémeaux awards and the Best Original Music award at the Marseille Web Fest; the dramatic serial L’Échappée with an average of 32% market share weekly; the thriller series Le Jeu, starring Laurence Leboeuf and Éric Bruneau, the dramatic series Feux, winner of four Gémeaux awards, including best dramatic series, and Olivier, which conquered the hearts of critics and audiences alike.
Last year, two of Amalga-produced films achieved a place at the top of the Québec box-office: Merci pour tout, starring Magalie Lépine-Blondeau and Julie Perreault; and Le Trip à trois starring Martin Matte and Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, twice nominated at the Gala Québec Cinéma.
Amalga has also produced the original documentary series: Conquérants des glaces, with two Gémeaux 2020 nominations; Espions parmi nous, winner of the Gémeaux award for the best original music; Escortes, Mort en service, and two seasons of Lien fatal, winner of the Gémeaux for best docufiction series.
