An exotic adventure for our favourite lady detective. Set in the late 1920s, this feature length special honours the heightened exoticisms of the murder mystery genre as the Honourable Miss Phryne Fisher, lady detective, takes to the skies on a Middle Eastern adventure that begins in the biblical city of Jerusalem where Phryne helps a young Bedouin woman, Shirin Abbas, escape from jail. Together they pursue the mystery of an ancient treasure that disappeared from a secret crypt beneath the desert in the closing chapters of the Great War. Stirring up a hornet’s nest of class, culture and colonial sensitivities, Phryne dodges death threats and weaves her way around the law to make amends for an injustice wreaked on Shirin.
