The Art of Tasting – the history of Italian food is a visual talk show (8 episodes x 24 minutes) where the words become imagines and books come to life.

Thanks to the show the doors of the most important library of ancient books dedicated to the story of the food - located in Rome - is opened to the audience. Here, by consulting precious texts (as the first edition of Pellegrino Artusi’s book – 1891) and discussing ancient recipes, The Art of Tasting wants to rebuild the origin of our cuisine.

The owner of the library, a chef of excellence named Rossano Boscolo, meets colleagues and friends cooks in the various rooms of his special place. Through amiable chats and informal exchanges of knowledge, the cooks tell to the audience anecdotes, stories, techniques and ancient recipes captured from the books. Chats and stories are supported by refined and detailed images that accompany the viewer on an immersive journey through the dishes and the food.
