Scandi nets sign Cineflix shows

Broadcasters in Scandinavia have picked up more than 300 hours of programming from UK distributor Cineflix Rights.

TV4 Sweden, NRK Norway and DR Denmark have picked up documentary The Day Kennedy Died (1×60’), produced by Finestripe Productions for ITV1 in the UK and Smithsonian Channel US.

TV4 has also acquired seasons 5 and 6 of Unusual Suspects (26×60’, LMNO Productions), Murder in Paradise (6×60’, Cineflix Productions), Hollywood & Crime (6×60’, LMNO Productions), Wives with Knives (6×60’, Indigo Films), seasons 1 and 2 of Tough Nuts: Australia’s Hardest Criminals (16×60’, The Full Box Productions) and seasons 1 and 2 of Claimed and Shamed (20×30’, Cineflix Productions).

In addition, TV2 Norway has picked up seasons 1-4 of long-running brand Property Brothers (91×60’, Cineflix Productions) while TV4 Sweden has also bought House Hazards (14×30’, Cineflix Productions) and seasons 2 – 4 of Cash Cowboys (39×60’, Cineflix Productions).

Meanwhle, UK boradcaster Channel 5 had recommissioned Cineflix Productions’ new medical series Trauma Investigators for a second, extended season. The series, following its slot-winning first season performance, has also been bought by TV4 Sweden (seasons 1 and 2, 10×60’).

All of the deals were brokered by Sandra Piha, senior VP of programme sales at Cineflix Rights, currently the subject of an ongoing restructure.
