SBS, Canal+, Pro Plus set For Life

For Life will debut in September

SBS in Australia, Canal+ in France and Slovenia’s Pro Plus have picked up Norwegian police procedural series For Life.

For Life (8×60’) follows a hardened National Crime Service investigator across two different timelines. It was created by International Emmy winner Gjermund S Eriksen, who writes the show with Helena Nielsen. Håkon Briseid and Bård Fjulsrud are the producers.

The series is produced by Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group-owned prodco Monster for Norwegian broadcaster NRK, where it will premiere in September. It was developed with funding from the Norwegian Film Institute.

NENT Group distribution subsidiary NENT Studios UK has secured the international pre-sales announced today.

Elin Thomas, exec VP of sales for NENT Studios UK, said: “We are delighted to bring something new to the international market and to have locked in these initial pre-sales with SBS, Pro Plus and Canal+.

“With episodes now delivering, the series is starting to gain further traction from buyers excited by a refreshing approach to the popular episodic crime universe.”
