Sat.1 orders Endemol Shine puppet show

I Got You Babe will launch this autumn

German free-to-air broadcaster Sat.1 has commissioned a new singing format from Endemol Shine Germany.

I Got You Babe sees puppet characters sing in duet with celebrities in a weekly competition.

The duets are judged by a three-person jury. At the end of each episode, viewers decide which pair leaves the competition, until a winning couple is decided in the finale.

I Got You Babe will debut on Sat.1 with four episodes this autumn.

Endemol Shine Germany is now part of European production giant Banijay following the completion of the US$2.2bn takeover in July.

Earlier this month, Marcus Wolter, who has led Banijay’s business in Germany since 2018, was named CEO of the newly enlarged German operations.

Magnus Kastner, who has served as CEO at Endemol Shine Germany since 2018, will step down from his role.
