Salman Khan TV (SKTV) will collaborate on an array of programming with Banijay Asia, which was formed in April by Banijay Group and Deepak Dhar, the former head of Endemol India.

Banijay Asia and SKTV said they would create content for TV and the web across scripted and unscripted. Programming will be aimed at audiences in India and across South-East Asian markets, the duo added.

Dhar, founder and CEO of Banijay Asia, described the deal as “an extremely substantial partnership” and said he was focused on creating ground-breaking content for audiences in the region.

“With the emerging shows, in television and digital, this collaboration will build our presence in India and South-East Asia,” Dhar said.

Khan added: “[India] is home to various talented people who don’t get a fair chance to prove themselves. We at SKTV not only aim to produce engaging content with our partners like Banijay Group but also to provide a fair platform to these young and budding individuals.”
