NEWS BRIEF: Russian free-to-air channel MIR is the latest international network to commission a local version of classic BBC Studios quiz format The Weakest Link, to be produced by Russian prodco 2V.

The general knowledge quizshow with a notoriously harsh host first appeared on BBC2 in the UK in 2000 and has since travelled around the world. C21 recently revealed the show has been revived in Greece by commercial net Skai.
