Russia starts Dance Revolution

Dance Revolution launched on Canada’s TVA

MIPCOM: Russia’s Channel One has licensed remake rights to primetime competition format Dance Revolution from ITV Studios-owned Armoza Formats.

The 22×90’ Canadian format, originally produced by Québecor Content and Fair-Play, first launched on Canada’s TVA as Révolution last year.

A second season is now underway and attracted up to 1.22 million viewers and a 35% market share to its premiere episode last month.

The format was picked up by Lithuanian commercial broadcaster LNK in April and has also been optioned in France by Reservoir Prod and in Spain by Globomedia.

ITV Studios acquired Israeli formats specialist Armoza  in July.
