RTL, VTM build Lego format

Lego-inspired format Lego Masters

Dutch broadcaster RTL and Flemish channel VTM in Belgium have commissioned Endemol Shine Netherlands to produce local versions of Lego-inspired format Lego Masters.

Created by UK indie Tuesday’s Child, Lego Masters sees teams of two compete to create the best Lego constructions.

The show has aired two seasons on Channel 4 in the UK and has also been picked up in Australia, Germany and the US.

Endemol Shine Group, which owns the international distribution rights to the format, as well as the rights to produce local versions around the world, said more deals are in the pipeline.

Endemol Shine International owns the distribution rights to the finished tape of all versions produced.

Casting for the Dutch and Flemish contestants who will compete in the two latest adaptations is underway.
