RTL2 keen on Swedish dating format

German broadcaster RTL2 is set to adapt a Swedish comedy-reality format about single parents looking for love.

RTL2 has licensed All Inclusive, which sees 14 parents – seven men and seven women – embark on a romance-seeking journey accompanied by their biggest supporters and worst truth-tellers: their own teenage children.

The show was originally produced by Elk Entertainment for Sjuan in Sweden and the local German version will be made by Sagamedia.

Almost one in five families with young children in Germany consist of only one legal guardian, with 2.3 million single mothers and 400,000 single fathers. Parents interested in taking part of the series have been encouraged to apply via the RTL2 website.

Estelle Bodén, MD of Elk Entertainment, which launched the format at MipTV, said: “The international interest for All Inclusive has been great ever since the format premiered in Sweden this winter. The format is optioned in 12 territories and we’re very excited that RTL II and Sagamedia now will take on the format and make the first international version of All Inclusive to go on air.”
