Robin Hood rides around Europe

Broadcasters across Europe have acquired an animated series about a young Robin Hood, commissioned by TF1, ZDF and DeAgostini in France, Germany and Italy respectively.

Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood (52×11′) will now air on CSC Pop in the UK and Ireland and MTVA in Hungary, meaning the series has now secured distribution across the whole continent.

The latest deals follow agreements with NRK in Norway, RTS in Switzerland, RTL Telekids in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, Pixel Channel in Ukraine and BBC Alba in Scotland.

The series has previously been sold to RTVE-Clan and Canal Panda in Spain, VRT in Flemish-speaking Belgium, Canal Panda in Portugal, SVT in Sweden, MTV3 in Finland and LRT in Lithuania.

The CGI toon is based on the classic British folk tale and is produced by Method Animation and DQ Entertainment.

PGS Entertainment distributes the show, which targets kids aged 6-10 and follows the rivalry between a young Robin Hood and the son of King Richard, Prince John.

PGS recently pre-sold season three of the animated series The Little Prince to Canal Encuentro in Argentina, Minimax in Eastern Europe, MTVA in Hungary, Err in Estonia, Minika in Turkey, Noga in Israel and Knowledge Network in British Columbia, Canada.
