RMC probes religious mysteries with Pernel

French documentary channel RMC Découverte has ordered two feature-length programmes from indie Pernel Media exploring the mysteries surrounding religious relics and locations.

Lourdes: Miracle Secrets (1×90’) investigates the unexplained phenomena and scientific facts behind the notion of miracles.

The second film, The Mystery of the Holy Lance (1×90’), combines scientific investigation with historical research to explore the 2,000-year history of a religious artefact.

RMC’s Rodolphe Guignard commissioned the films and Samuel Kissous will executive produce for Pernel, which will retain distribution rights.

The productions follow two previous docs exploring religious mysteries produced by Pernel for the channel: Revelations of the Gospel of Barnabas and The Book of Fatima, which aired in 2016.
