Pernel Media’s Record-Breaking Trains for RMC Découverte

French DTT channel RMC Découverte has ordered a one-off documentary from Pernel Media charting the history of three European trains.

The Paris-based indie is producing Record-Breaking Trains, which will profile the historical locomotive CC7100, the high-speed TGV and the AGV, which was nicknamed the ‘train of the future.’

The 1×70’ doc follows previous Pernel project Record-Breaking Bridges, which also aired on RMC Découverte and achieved an audience share of 2.4%, above the time slot average.

Pernel also made two seasons of Ancient Superstructures and four of Wheeler Dealers France for the channel.

Stéphane Sallé de Chou, Guenaëlle Troly and Séverine Gourinchas commissioned the documentary for RMC Découverte. Samuel Kissous is executive producer for Pernel.
