River Hunters makes a splash at A+E, Foxtel

The History Channel’s archaeology series River Hunters

A+E Networks in Germany and Australian pay TV broadcaster Foxtel have picked up Hello Halo Productions’ adventurous archaeology series River Hunters.

The 14×60′ series was originally commissioned by The History Channel in the UK and is part of a raft of sales of unscripted content worldwide by Israeli-distributor Keshet International.

Elsewhere, YLE in Finland has acquired Flicker Productions’ BBC1 show Dom Does America (10×60′) and SVT in Sweden has picked up Top Hat Productions’ BBC2 show Exposed: The Church’s Dark Secret (2×60′), which exposes sexual abuse and cover-ups within the Church of England.

Also in Sweden, TV4 has picked up both series of Rumpus Media and Motion Content Group’s Around the World By Train (12×60′) with Sir Tony Robinson, as well as Keshet Productions’ ITV2 relationship reality show Singletown (15×60′) and the first two seasons of Crackit Productions’ Casualty 24/7 (16×60′).

Sky in New Zealand has acquired the latest season of the latter show, in a deal that includes the third season of Crackit’s Trucking Hell (20×60′), while Foxtel in Australia has also picked up the first two seasons of the reality show, which focuses on haulage recovery.

In addition, Singletown has also been picked up in Belgium by DPG Media, in a deal that includes Crackit’s Hoarders: Buried Alive in My Bedroom.

In Germany, RTL has acquired the fourth and fifth seasons of Woodcut Media’s World Most Evil Killers.

Rumpus Media’s Weekend Breaks with Gregg Wallace

Finally, Keshet International has also completed deals with AVoD platforms Little Dot and Tubi TV for shows including World’s Most Evil Killers, The Good Girls’ Guide to Kinky Sex, Bad Habits, Holy Orders and Husbands from Hell, amounting to 113 and 80 hours respectively.

Meanwhile, Singapore-based distributor Bomanbridge Media , which works with Keshet International in Asia, has sold River Hunters to The Outdoor Channel across Asia and also Thailand’s public broadcaster TPBS.

Bomanbridge Media has also sold Pi Productions’ Secrets of the Factories (4×60′) and Rumpus Media’s Weekend Breaks with Gregg Wallace (5×60′) to National Geographic across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
