Ricky Zoom speeds round world

eOne’s action-comedy toon Ricky Zoom

Channels in Turkey, Russia and the Middle East have picked up animated series Ricky Zoom from transatlantic producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne).

Turkish network Minika Cocuk brings the new CGI show to screens today while free-to-air channels Karusel in Russia and Spacetoon Kids’ TV channel in the Middle East and North Africa will follow.

The show has previously been picked up by Nickelodeon (US), Super RTL (Germany), Clan TV (Spain), Gulli (France), Rai (Italy), Youku (China) and Discovery Kids (Latin America), with further deals soon to be announced ahead of Mipcom.

Ricky Zoom is an action-comedy series about the adventures of a little red motorbike with a zest for speed.

The deals follow the recent surprise US$4bn buy-out of Peppa Pig-owned eOne by US toy giant Hasbro.
