Rewind Networks takes HITS to Taiwan

US sitcom Full House is available on HITS

Singaporean entertainment firm Rewind Networks has continued its expansion of its HITS network in Asia by agreeing a carriage deal with Chunghwa Telecom’s pay TV platform in Taiwan.

The deal will see HITS HD available on most pay TV platforms in Taiwan via Multimedia on Demand’s (MOD) Hao-Hua subscription package, which comes with traditional Mandarin subtitles.

Audiences will be able to watch series such as Full House, The Nanny, The Golden Girls, MacGyver and The X-Files.

This month, HITS will offer the David Hasselhoff classic Knight Rider. Viewers will also have access to shows through Rewind’s multi-year licensing deals with CBS Studios, NBCUniversal and 20th Century Fox.

Rewind Networks has been rolling out the channel over the last two years with deals in Hong Kong and Macau, and Thailand among others. The latest arrangement means that HITS will reach more than 10 million homes across Asia.
