RedSeven ups Knetsch to board

German production company RedSeven Entertainment has promoted one of its executives to its management board.

Julia Knetsch becomes MD at RedSeven, joining existing MDs Christiane Heinemann and Jobst Benthues on the board, which is headed by Jobst Benthues.

Knetsch, who most recently headed up commercial operations for the Red Arrow Studios prodco, has been at RedSeven since 2013 and has worked within parent company ProSiebenSat.1 Group since 2007. Her replacement is yet to be named.

Benthues, chairman of RedSeven Entertainment, described Knetsch as a “proven commercial expert” who would ensure the company is “very well positioned for the future development of our business.”

RedSeven Entertainment creates and produces formats for the German and international TV markets, with a focus on comedy, clip shows, docutainment, magazine shows and corporate media.

The prodco is a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Arrow Studios, the production and distribution division of ProSiebenSat.1 Media. Last month RedSeven unveiled a digital arm focused on producing corporate marketing content for brands and channels.
