Red Arrow targets comedy sales in Cannes

Lice Mother is produced by Bing Film & TV

German distributor Red Arrow Studios International is taking comedies Squinters and Lice Mother to next month’s MipTV market, along with a range of scripted, factual and format programming.

Commuter-focused comedy Squinters (6×30’) is produced by Jungle Entertainment in Australia, while Lice Mother (10×30’), produced by Dutch firm Bing Film & TV, is set in a primary school and follows a recently divorced child psychologist whose job is to check for head lice in primary school children.

Also on Red Arrow’s scripted slate are crime series Falco (15×60’), based on the scripted format The Last Cop, from Narcos Producer Dynamo and Spiral International.

Sylvester- and VRT-produced comedy drama Sense of Tumour (8×60’) and Fabrik Entertainment-produced detective series Bosch (40×60’) are also included.

On the factual side, Man’s First Friend (1×120’ or 2×60’) is a blue-chip, 4K documentary exploring the relationship between humans and dogs. Produced by France’s Boréales, it is launching for the first time in Cannes.

For the Love of Spock (1×120’), is a documentary about the iconic Star Trek character and the actor who played him for nearly 50 years, Leonard Nimoy. It is joined by hip-hop and martial arts docuseries Beat N Path (1×70′ or 3×30’), produced by Studio SV, and football-themed series The Pitch (6×30’), from US company Tastemade.

Dating reality experiment Code to Love, produced by Danish digital prodco Drive Studios, leads Red Arrow’s formats line-up and is joined by reality formats State of Hate, produced by Snowman Productions and Buying Blind, created by Kinetic Content and also produced by Snowman.
