Celebrity Antiques Road Trip’s Jo Joyner and Sunetra Sarker

US factual giant Discovery has picked up 220 episodes of factual content from Glasgow-based producer STV Productions for its Really channel in the UK.

The deal has seen 160 episodes of Antiques Road Trip and 60 episodes of Celerity Antiques Road Trip picked up for the free-to-air network.

The series, which airs on BBC2 in the UK, follows the country’s top antiques experts around Britain as they battle it out in a search for quirky and valuable antiques to auction off for profit.

The celebrity edition of the show has seen a variety of famous faces from stage, screen, sport and media take on the challenge, including Jennifer Saunders, Charles Dance, Judy Murray and Chesney Hawkes.

Really aired seasons one to four of Antiques Road Trip and one to three of the celebrity version and has now picked up seasons five to 14 of the former and four to six of the latter.

Discovery took full ownership of Really earlier this year when UKTV was split between it and BBC Studios – the pair had previously held the multichannel broadcaster in a 50/50 joint venture.
