Really exposes Aussie crime series

Exposed: The Case of Keli Lane first aired on the ABC in Australia

US-based factual giant Discovery has acquired an Australian crime investigation series from ABC Commercial to air on its UK channel Really.

Exposed: The Case of Keli Lane is a 3×60′ series investigating the disappearance in 1996 of two-day-old baby Tegan Lane in Australia and the conviction of her mother Keli Lane for her murder. The series sees Lane break her silence for the first time, speaking to journalist Caro Meldrum-Hanna from prison.

ABC Commercial, which distributes content from Oz pubcaster the ABC, said the series delivered “outstanding audience engagement” across ABC’s linear and digital platforms.

“The case of Keli Lane is like no other,” said Meldrum-Hanna. “How can a two-day-old baby disappear without a trace, in broad daylight in sunny Sydney, from a busy public hospital, never to be seen again?

“No witnesses, no murder weapon, no forensic evidence, no body. A litany of lies and multiple secret pregnancies. Her mother is in jail for murder, claiming innocence. She’s finally agreed to talk. But where does the truth lie?”

The show was produced by the ABC last year.
