RCN’s El Capo heads to Estrella

El Capo has been sold around the world

US Spanish-language broadcaster Estrella TV has picked up action-drama series El Capo from Colombian broadcaster RCN.

El Capo tells the story of a Colombian drug trafficker who manages to remain anonymous for 25 years, only to be uncovered by a local journalist.

An RCN Television production, the show is written by creator Gustavo Bolívar, with Ricardo Gabrielli and Lilo Vilaplana directing.

RCN’s international distribution arm has previously sold El Capo to broadcasters in Ecuador, the US, Guatemala, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, El Salvador, Peru, Argentina, Iran, Afghanistan, France, Romania, Mexico and the Netherlands.
