Winx Club

MIPTV: Italian animation producer and distributor Rainbow is bringing three children’s shows to Cannes as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The studio is shopping the seventh season of animated series Winx Club, alternative fairy story Royal Academy (working title) and live-action project My American Friend.

The latest run of Winx Club carries on from the environmental themes of previous seasons. In season seven, the fairies must save the rare Fairy Animals from an evil shape-shifter and her brother.

Royal Academy follows a girl who suddenly finds herself in a world of fairytale characters.

My American Friend is aimed at pre-teens and tells the story of an American girl who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest fashion designer.
