Raft of toon sales for Entertainment Rights

In the UK, distribution outfit Entertainment Rights has inked a raft of Euro and Asian licence deals on titles including Barbie in the Nutcracker, Ethelbert the Tiger and Hamilton Mattress.

In Russia, the TV6 network has picked up Barbie in the Nutcracker for broadcast this Christmas. The cgi film, a co-production between Mainframe Entertainment and the Barbie doll manufacturer Mattel, has already been picked up by over 60 countries worldwide.

Ethelbert the Tiger, the pre-school animated series co-produced by Millimages (France) and CBBC (UK), has been picked up by YLE2 (Finland), Canal + Cyfrowy SP (Romania), The Disney Channel in Italy, TV Ontario (Canada), Nickelodeon in Australia, SCV (Singapore), The Yo-Yo Channel in Taiwan and UBC (Thailand).

In Italy, the 26×10' animated series Preston Pig, about a soccer-mad swine, has been picked up by Mediatrade. In Germany, Kiddinx has acquired Tangerine Bear to air on Super RTL this Christmas.

Finally, Hamilton Mattress, the half-hour stop-frame special co-produced by Harvest Films, Egmont Imagination and Entertainment Rights for the BBC, has been sold to Canal+ in France.
