The former Sky commissioning editor was appointed to the newly created position in March, reporting to Maverick CEO Simon Knight.

Quinn, formerly commissioning editor for factual and documentaries at the satcaster, had a remit to oversee the company’s growth strategies, develop its slate and add shows in the factual and factual entertainment genres.

A spokeswoman for All3 confirmed that Quinn was leaving to pursue new challenges. His next move is not yet known, nor his replacement at Maverick. The news was first reported by UK trade Broadcast.

Quinn joined Sky in 2015, commissioning shows for Sky1 and Sky Arts, including five-year documentary experiment Flesh & Blood.

Prior to that, he held senior positions at several leading UK indies, including head of special projects at Oxford Film & Television and head of factual at October Films. He handled commissions including Channel 4’s breakout hit Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.

Maverick is known in the UK for Operation Ouch on CBBC and Bizarre ER on E4, while in the US its reality series Chrisley Knows Best is in its fifth season on USA Network.

Last year digital specialist Barcroft Productions hired the former director of development at Maverick to work cross development.
