Q Talks will see the celebrities give expert talks on topics they’ve never heard before, from a script they’ve never seen before, presented to them via a rigged teleprompter.

Regina Hall, Lisa Kudrow, Niecy Nash, Jimmy O. Yang and Kristen Schaal are among those featured in the series.

It comes after Veitch gave a TED Talk in 2015 that went on to be one of the most watched talks in the format’s history.

The show’s creator and executive producer is Troy Conrad, while the showrunner and executive producer is Nicolle Yaron.

Other executive producers include Paul Feig, Laura Fischer and Kesila Childers for Powderkeg Media, Saul Friedman for Spectacle Content Media and Chris Wagner, Colleen Wagner, Mike Hofferth for Eleven Eleven Media Group.

Quibi, led by former Walt Disney Studios chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman, launches on April 6.

The mobile-only service will go live in the US at US$4.99 per month for the ad-supported version and US$7.99 per month for the ad-free edition. It will host content designed to be viewed on the go, with episodes less than 10 minutes long.
