Quibi melds true crime, home makeover

Shortform video platform Quibi has ordered a true crime home renovation series from CSI exec producer Josh Berman.

Murder House Flip is a home renovation show which focuses on US homes in which mysterious murders have taken place.

The homeowners will get help from forensic specialists and spiritual healers to uncover the true crimes, secrets and scandals which took place in their homes, before the houses undergo renovations by high-end renovation experts.

Sony Pictures TV is producing the series, with Berman, Chris King and Katherine Ramsland exec producing.

“Murder House Flip combines home renovations with the intriguing elements of a true crime series. Bringing healing and solace to families living in the aftermath of tragic events by transforming dark places into healthy spaces,” said Berman.

Quibi is a mobile-focused shortform video platform being readied for launch by DreamWorks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and CEO Meg Whitman.
