Prospero takes Discovery into outback

Outback Truckers follows Australia’s roadtrain drivers

Discovery Networks has picked up two shows from Australia’s Prospero Productions for its networks in Asia, Europe and North America.

Railroad Australia (8×60′) follows the giant trains that travel across the Aussie outback and has been sold to Discovery Asia, while Outback Truckers, which explores the lives of roadtrain drivers, will air on Discovery Italy and Discovery Canada.

Outback Truckers has also been sold to Canadian French-language channel Canal D and to New Zealand public broadcaster TVNZ.

Both shows are part of Sydney-based Flame Distribution’s catalogue, which has also sold a second season of the international version of cookery series Saturday Kitchen, produced by Cactus TV, to Lifestyle Food in Australia.
