ProSieben hires Maker exec for digital

Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 has bolstered its digital entertainment team with the hire of a Maker Studios executive.

Christian Dankl has been named CEO of advertising-supported video-on-demand (VoD) and will take responsibility for advancing the firm’s VoD products.

He will report directly to Christof Wahl, chairman of digital entertainment and chief operating officer at ProSiebenSat.1.

The firm’s ad-financed offers include TV portals and multi-channel network (MCN) Studio71, among others.

Dankl was previously based at Disney-owned MCN Maker Studios’ London office, where he was VP of commercial international and global head of monetisation.
