Incognita will help spearhead Propagate’s European production efforts, focusing on premium scripted drama.

Propagate and Incognita will package dramas and movies for local and global audiences, with Propagate president of international Cyrus Farrokh overseeing distribution.

De Vésinne is a leading European production executive with 25 years of experience running major broadcasters and production companies. His credits include series Taken, XIII, Les Bleus, No Limit, and Taxi Brooklyn.

Propagate was set up by Electus founder Ben Silverman and former National Geographic president Howard T Owens with backing from A+E in 2016. Silverman and Owens had previously founded US prodco Reveille.

Currently in production at Propagate is a reimagining of 1970s unscripted series In Search Of, which will be hosted and executive produced by Heroes star Zachary Quinto for History. Propagate is also teaming up with Project Runway executive producer Desiree Gruber on reality series Labour of Love.

This year will also see the launch of Propagate’s first straight-to-series scripted order, Blood & Treasure, for CBS, plus a reboot of Charmed for The CW.

The company plans to expand its worldwide production, distribution and digital businesses this year, including the formation of a branded content studio division and podcast network.

Propagate’s ambitions also include growing its global footprint with the launch of business units in Latin America, Asia, India and the Middle East. Through these units, the company will partner with local production communities to develop, produce and distribute original formats and target potential acquisitions.
