Propagate promotes San Vargas

A+E Networks-backed US prodco Propagate has promoted executive VP Isabel San Vargas to a newly created role.

As president of production and operations at Propagate, San Vargas will continue to report to co-CEO Howard T Owens and president Greg Lipstone.

San Vargas will oversee all aspects of production and operations, including international and domestic production and post-production, at the firm, along with other duties.

Before joining Propagate, San Vargas was senior VP, production at Pilgrim Studios, where she helped launch competition series Top Shot and oversaw shows such as The Ultimate Fighter, American Chopper and Street Outlaws.

Prior to that, she worked as a freelance producer on series including America’s Next Top Model, The Simple Life and Making the Band.

The promotion follows October’s news that Propagate had acquired Silverman’s former company Electus as well as a majority stake in talent management and production firm Artists First.
