Promotions come out of Leftfield

US-based prodco Leftfield Pictures and its parent company Leftfield Entertainment have promoted three top executives.

Will Nothacker has been upped to senior VP of development at Leftfield Pictures and will report to David George, president of Leftfield Entertainment.

Nothacker, who joined the company in 2010, has developed survival show Alone for History, Lachey’s for A+E and New Money for E!, among other programmes.

Shawn Witt has been promoted to senior VP of programming, also reporting to George. Witt, who joined the New York-based firm in 2011, has developed and overseen shows including Alone and Pawn Stars spin-offs Counting Cars and gameshow Pawnography.

At Leftfield Entertainment, Ed Simpson has been promoted to senior VP of business development and international. He will work across the company’s portfolio, which also includes Sirens Media, Loud TV, Outpost Entertainment and the newly formed Riot Creative.

UK broadcaster ITV took a controlling stake in Leftfield Entertainment in 2014 for around US$360m.
