Price doc first original for Quest Red

Discovery Networks UK and Ireland has made its first original commission for its forthcoming free-to-air channel Quest Red.

Katie Price: My Crazy Life is being produced by Shiver for Quest Red

Katie Price: My Crazy Life sees the TV personality and former glamour model offer an insight into her professional and person life.

The 12×30′ series is being produced by ITV Studios’ factual label Shiver and will use a traditional observational documentary approach to follow Price as she juggles family life and her career.

The show was ordered by Clare Laycock, VP and head of Quest Red, TLC & Investigation Discovery, and was commissioned by Ed Sayer, VP of production and development for factual at Discovery Networks International.

Steve Jones will executive produce for Quest Red and Tom Whitter for Shiver. Alison Martin is series producer and Jimmy Hedger is series director.

The series will air on Quest Red, which is launching on March 15 in the UK and Ireland as Discovery’s second FTA channel in the region.

The network describes itself as the “stablemate for Discovery’s single free-to-air factual entertainment TV channel Quest” and will air reality and documentary programming.
