Portfolio unveils Mipcom kids slate

Portfolio’s new animated series include Bubu & the Little Owls

Toronto-based distributor Portfolio Entertainment has announced a new slate of kids’ and preschool content ahead of Mipcom in October.

The roster of shows includes two new animated series, Bubu & the Little Owls (26×11’) and Cyberchase (114×30’), as well as the second season of CBeebies’ live-action show Do You Know?.

Bubu & the Little Owls is a  preschool series featuring a family of owls who face a new nature adventure in each episode and find answers to their questions through inventions, songs and games.

Cyberchase is an animated adventure series for 6-11s produced by Thirteen that takes kids on a wild ride through cyberspace, where they are challenged in a good-vs-evil battle.

Portfolio will take the latest 20×30’ run of Cyberchase internationally for the first time (excluding US and Canada), as well as the 72×30’ episodes from past seasons that are now available for the first time in HD.

Do You Know? is a 15-minute factual show starring YouTube personality Maddie Moate that helps young viewers to understand how everyday things work.

Portfolio currently distributes the first season of the series and has previously licensed it to Discovery Family (MENA and Africa), LOGI Channel (Israel) and Starz (US).
