Pops hires for Indonesia expansion

South-East Asian digital entertainment company Pops Worldwide is expanding into Indonesia and has appointed a Tencent exec to manage its operations in the country.

Zico Kemala Batin, most recently a director of business development at Chinese streaming giant Tencent, has been named country manager for Pops in Indonesia.

The move continues Pops’ expansion across South-East Asia, where it is currently available in Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.

Pops’ streaming service, Pops App, is due to go live in Indonesia in early 2021, featuring music, animation, live-action and eSports content.
