Poland’s TVN flips for Head & Tails

The Polish adaptation of Heads & Tails debuts later this month

Polish commercial broadcaster TVN Group has picked up a Ukrainian travel format for its channel TTV and will premiere its own version next month.

Ukrainian producer and distributor UA Formats, part of the Film.UA group, has shopped Head & Tails to the Polish channel, which will produce at least six episodes.

The Polish version will begin on October 27. The original is produced by TeenSpirit Studio in Ukraine and has aired for 19 seasons totalling 371 episodes since its premiere on Inter TV in 2011.

It also later aired on K1 in Ukraine and has been picked up previously by Pyatnitsa! (Russia), 7th Channel (Kazakhstan), Belarus 2 (Belarus) and 3+ (Estonia), as well as ТТV.

The format sees two hosts visit a different city around the world each weekend, with one given a maximum spend of US$100 and the other allowed unlimited spending. The show begins with the hosts tossing a coin to decide the roles.
